– No more bandaids! My sources informed me that a total replacement well assembly has been ordered. The project will be completed by spring.
– Don’t get excited, we may still be plagued with low water next year. I am still working with the dredging company on White Lake. More information to follow.
– Unofficial information – Project cost $50,000 plus. Lake access will share part of the cost.

Let me see if I understand this correctly please help if I’m missing something. In September we are told the well has failed and DLPOA president and county lake board member Bob Jones recommends we spend about 2,500 $ for a new well motor. In October we are told OOPS that was wrong its not a local decision and has to go to the county lake board. A meeting has been requested and you are encouraged to attend and voice your opinion. But the county lake board decides this issue. Meeting details will be posted. And now in November we are told OOPS wrong again. No lake board meeting no public input no consultation I assume no anything. SOURCES have already ordered us a new well at 50,000 $ + and informed the lake board and Bob Jones after the fact ?. What happened to the meeting. What am I Missing when the POA president and County lake board member was wrong about how this would be decided in September again in October and again in November and found out from sources. And Bob and his supporters wonder why people are confused , upset , And are looking for change and why I bitch. Here’s at least part of the reason.

You are no “Ray” of sunshine. You are one of those whinny yelping little dogs that annoys everyone. What is your problem ray? All you are is hostile, obnoxious and an obstruction. Many people volunteer their time and resources for the better of the lake and all you do is bitch. What have you done for the better of the lake and everyone else? Grow up and act like a level headed responsible helpful good neighbor instead of the horses behind you are!

Isn’t that the letter that Ryan read to us all at the last meeting? Total well replacement over the winter to be up and running to raise water level back to legal summer level for summer 2016. Can you post the letter from the engineer expaining our well issues for those who were not able to make it to the meeting?

Hi Duck Laker,
Yes, this is a repeat of the info that was shared on Nov 5, however the letter that was read was unverified personal correspondence, so I hesitate to publish it without approval from the person who wrote it. I will post the official letter once it comes out, and it is my understanding that this will be distributed to all residents.

What exactly does Lake access sharing part of the cost mean??
I have no problem contributing if that is what it means. I do have a problem with public access to our lake.
Just checking to be sure.

Hi David,
“Lake Access” refers to people with property that grants them access to the lake, but is not waterfront property (A.K.A.’back lot’). Generally, lake access properties are included in the tax assessments for Duck Lake, but at a lower rate than the lake front properties. Happily this is not in reference to public access, which is still not available on Duck Lake.
