Announcement of newly elected Officers and Trustees

Duck Lake POA Members:

We are pleased to announce that on December 8, 2015 a new set of Officers and a Board of Trustees was elected. This special election was held in response to a petition from 23 POA members requesting a vote, which should have been conducted during the October 21, 2015 meeting.

The turnout was fantastic, with over 100 people in attendance and 78 properties participating in the vote for district Trustees.  All but one district (district 5) are now represented by elected Trustees.

Following the Trustee election, a second election took place and the Trustees voted for Officers. Your elected Officers for the current term are:

President – Ryan Charlton
Vice Presidents – Matthew Robert & Mike Tierney
Treasurer – Mike Ricard
Secretary – Leslie Alore

The full list of Officers and Trustees can be found on the Duck Lake POA website: http://ducklakepoa.com/officers.

We would like to thank all of you who came to the meeting and participated in this election. As your elected officials, we will work hard to continue to support and improve the lake and the DLPOA community. Work has already begun to collect information, digitize it, and make it more widely available to you on the reinstated official DLPOA website. We encourage you to check the website frequently for new information.

We would also be remiss if we did not thank Bob Jones and the other former trustees and officers (elected and acting), who have put their time, effort, and even money into this association. Some of these people will continue their service as Officers and Trustees. We want to remind you that we ALL have a role to play and we are all friends and neighbors, so please continue to engage with everyone on the lake with respect and friendliness.

The first meeting of the new Officers and Trustees will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 7:30 pm at the Highland Senior Center.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season,
Your Duck Lake POA Officers
