I live on Kingsway near the mouth of the canal. We have a tremendous amount of muck and the water level is very low. Who can I contact to come out to look at the situation and possibly reposition the aerators?
Hi! Aquaweed only posts signs in front of the houses where they are treating that time. If you did not receive a sign, then the treatment did not affect you.
I understand that but the reason I ask is that my kids will go on the boat and swim, ski, ect. If we don’t know the water is being treated then we wouldn’t know to stay out of it. I hope that makes sense. Thanks
I see your point. I think what we can do is start sending an email to our email list with the map of treatment areas and the yellow sheet with the safe dates on it for each treatment going forward. If you are not on the email list, you can sign up on the contacts page.
Hello DLPOA Members! FYI there will NOT be a regularly scheduled meeting on May 17, 2023. See you at the next regular meeting on June 21, 2023, at the Axford Acres Beach.
Hello members this is a reminder that we will have our regularly scheduled 3rd Wednesday of the month board meeting and annual spring meeting this Wednesday, 4/19 at 7:30 pm at the Highland Twp Activity Center at 205 N. John St. Note that the address and location has changed to the newly renovated Township Offices. We will have EverBlue in attendance to give a presentation. Please join us!
Are the intake pump boards in yet?
Lake level is low due to low snowfall.
Sure can use lots of today’s deluge of rainfall to bring the level up so we aren’t struggling to float our boats off the lifts, or the aeration lines being cut, like so many were two summers ago, at $83 per repair
Didn’t hear of one being cut last year.
Thanks!
I have to disagree with the level being low right now. It’s almost touching my dock.
The Oakland County Water Resources Commission controls the boards. The Duck Lake POA does not. You can contact them about when they place them but I’m pretty sure they do it in April.
The WRC is in charge of all thing’s lake level. They will replace the boards and will operate the well. We have suggested board timing in the past, but they are normally pretty good about managing the spring rain, and making sure we don’t flood out any houses.

Yellow sign says can’t swim until the 25th. Thats quite a long time, wasn’t that usually 3 days before? Not like a whole week. Maybe a mistake?
May 21, 2023 at 12:09 pm
The treatment date in the upper right corner is Monday the 22nd. Three days later you can swim.
