I contacted the Oakland County Water Resource Commission regarding the Duck Lake water level. They sent a person out to look at Duck Lake. The determination is that the water level is low, the pump is operating properly, but the area simply has not had a sufficient quantity of precipitation to maintain the lake level. The Water Resource Commission representative stated that there is no action they can take at this time to either raise or maintain the water level of Duck Lake.

I called the Oakland County Water Commission on August 26, 2026 to ask about the decreasing water level of Duck Lake. Their response was “We aren’t aware that there is a problem.” and “We haven’t had much rain lately.” The person with whom I talked did say that they would send someone out to survey the condition. I will call the Commission next week to see if they have a better response and report that response here.
It kind of bothers me that the Commission is in control of the lake water level, but had no idea that the water level has been decreasing for the past few months.

the pump is on. the lake has a legal level.

I thought we paid to have the pump repaired and, if so, why isn’t it being used. The lake is so low right now. Our boat is stuck on our lift.

Unfortunately the DLPOA doesn’t have any control over the well. We do know it has been running since July. If you have further questions, best bet is to contact the Oakland County Water Resource Commission. They are responsible for the water level.

Hi, last Friday late day, our bubblers on White Lake Road went off. We were wondering what is going on? Is there a maintenance issue? Hoping someone has some information for us.

Can someone help me with contact info for the company who mows the boat ramp property? We live next to the boat ramp and they blew a rock through the passenger window of our vehicle yesterday.
