To the Yellow and White pontoon boat with a wakeboard tower (LOL):
There are laws requiring distance between your craft, the shoreline, and my kayak. The next time you cut between the shoreline (approx 20 feet) and me fishing in my kayak (approx 15 feet), I will peddle to your house, capture your registration number and report you to the local authorities.
You have been warned.
I hope you have 65lbs braid twisted deep in your prop from the line you cut through.
If we are going to contact the DNR or Sheriff then I suggest that we also take pictures of the jerks that pull skiers, and cruise their pontoon boats in the wrong direction around the lake. There are a lot of stupid boaters who risk the lives of us, our kids, and grand-kids. OH wasn’t that what the Oakland Sheriffs’ marine patrol was doing? yeah it was.
Imagining the day when we wear special glasses on the lake and we can see lane markings and warning signs, sort of like how they display the scrimmage line on football TV. Yea, wrong direction boaters top my list. Then the there are the folks that allow visitors to borrow their PWC’s during a party. Visitors that have no idea about the rules or how to ride safely or drive without a wake in the canals.
Agree about the booming music. Can someone take their picture/ video and post it? Then perhaps we can identify them and have the sheriff make a call. We need to stop this ASAP
Once again the inconsiderateness of a few individuals on the lake is apparent. Its raining quite hard and there is one boat on the lake with the music and booming up so loud that even with our doors and windows shut we have to turn up the tv to hear it. It is one of the same few boats that has done this in the past. It is blue and white. If your kids were out this evening you know it was them since no one else is on the lake. Talk to them about consideration to others please. There is a noise ordinance in our township and I think it’s time we start calling the police on these boats. Maybe that way EVERYONE can enjoy our lake and even enjoy relaxing inside our own homes!
Yep, I heard them too. I agree, when I can hear the music through closed doors/windows and with tv on, it is excessive. Especially when they playing an F bomb song. This needs to be addressed and remedied.
Thanks for the update! I really appreciate you timeliness and transperancy. I have lived on the lake for 31+ years and I have learned more about our lake association the past 18 months than the previous 30 years!
You can find your rep up above under the “About the POA” tab. If you then click on the trustee link it will take you to the updated list for the district and their backup, if they have one. Please let me know if you need anything else!

what happened to the buoy at the narrows?
July 6, 2017 at 11:10 pm
The anchoring attachment busted off the bottom of the buoy. We just made a repair (fingers crossed) and it will be back in the water tomorrow.

This was on the “big duck” side of the lake…not a canal.

I was unable to attend the muck remediation meeting on May 17th. Will the results of that meeting be available?
Thanks,
Kathy
